I trained as a hand surgeon in the Northwest region, including specialist training posts in hand surgery at Hope, Wrightington and Preston Hospitals, as well as undertaking a fellowship in Seattle, USA.
In 1994, I was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at Trafford General Hospital, where I undertook general orthopaedics with a specific interest in hand surgery.
In 2002, I moved to a Consultant Hand Surgeon post at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport with a sub-specialist interest in hand, wrist and elbow surgery.
I now provide acute and non-urgent hand surgery for patients in the Stockport area and accept tertiary referrals and second opinions from other areas.
I have a special interest in injuries & trauma surgery (particularly of the wrist and hand) and reconstructive surgery for rheumatoid and other forms of arthritis.
I can provide a modern, comprehensive hand and wrist surgery service available with access to all types of X-rays and scans. This includes full support services such as occupational therapists and physiotherapists who can provide both preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
I have extensive medico-legal experience of hand and upper limb injuries, including a wide range of personal injury and medical negligence cases.
